Required documents for obtaining a temporary residence permit
To apply for a temporary residence permit card, original documents are required at the time of submission:
- original passport document,
- health insurance policy in Ukraine,
- documents that are the basis for obtaining a temporary residence permit.
Documents for registration differ on bases.
They must confirm your purpose of arrival and the need for a residence permit in Ukraine.
For example, it can be:
- Marriage certificate,
- Work permit,
- Card of an employee of a representative office of a foreign company,
- Order of the rector on student enrollment in the university.
Registration of a place of residence is not needed at the time of filing documents
for a temporary residence permit, except for those cases when you already have a residence permit
and you are applying for its renewal.
This is related to that the registration of residence is based on a residence permit. That is, it is
impossible for a foreigner in Ukraine to register at an address without a residence permit.
Requirements for your passport document:
1. Be valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry into Ukraine,
2. Have at least 2 free pages,
3. Issued for no more than 10 years.

Visa for obtaining a temporary residence permit
To obtain a temporary residence permit in Ukraine, foreign citizens must have a valid "D" type visa.
Citizens of visa-free countries with Ukraine, namely:
- Azerbaijanis,
- Armenians,
- Belarusians,
- Georgians,
- Moldovans,
- Russians,
- Uzbeks,
Should not receive a visa to Ukraine to obtain a temporary residence permit.
Citizens of all other countries need to obtain a "D" visa to Ukraine.
