Having a residence permit in Ukraine, a foreign citizen does not need to obtain a visa in the future to visit Ukraine or cross the Ukrainian state border.
Conditions for obtaining a temporary residence permit for the founders of the company in Ukraine
The bases for issuing a residence permit are as follows:
1) A foreign citizen and a stateless person are the founder, participant, beneficiaries of a legal entity, the data on which are entered in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individuals - Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations;
2) The size of the share of ownership of a foreign citizen, or a foreign legal entity, of which he is the beneficiary, in the authorized capital of a Ukrainian legal entity is at least 100,000 euros at the official exchange rate established by the National Bank of Ukraine on the date of the foreign investment.
Why does need a residence permit in Ukraine?
A temporary residence permit is issued after receiving a foreign investment in the authorized capital of a legal entity.
To obtain a temporary residence permit in Ukraine, you must submit documents no later than 25 calendar days before the expiration of your visa or the period of stay in Ukraine under the regime of 90 out of 180 days.

A residence permit in Ukraine for founders, participants, beneficiaries of a legal entity registered in Ukraine is issued only with a D-12 visa
Citizens of visa-free countries with Ukraine, namely:
- Azerbaijanis,
- Armenians,
- Belarusians,
- Georgians,
- Moldovans,
- Russians,
- Uzbeks,

When applying for a temporary residence permit in Ukraine for business, you need documents:
- original passport document,
- medical insurance policy for 1 year in Ukraine,
- documents confirming the investment.
